a “Mark As Read” day

The bad news is that it’s only Tuesday and I’m having a bad week already. I was as of yesterday afternoon.

The good news is that it’s only Tuesday so there’s still a possibility for the week to get better. I’m hoping for that.
_______________

I don’t typically use “Mark As Read” in my reader because I don’t normally have the hundreds of posts that it would take to kinda/sorta justify using “Mark As Read,” but today is One Of Those “Mark As Read” days. So I did.

I looked, I said, “Oh no, I can’t, and so I “Marked As Read,” certain that if there’s anything that is absolutely imperative that I read it, I’ll come across it in some way, shape, or form.
_______________

So yeah. Feelin’ kinda pooky which is a silly word for under-the-weather-emotionally. So I browse Etsy for handmade jewelry that’s not too expensive. I gossip with co-workers. I bond with the new cool co-worker. I ponder where to send Nate to after-school care because the YMCA program won’t continue as of Jan. 22 due to the school levy not passing in Nov. and the fact that the schools will be closing their buildings early to save money. I wonder about all the things I’m forgetting to do on a daily basis.
_______________

I saw my nutritionist today. It’s been the first time I’ve seen her since Sept. I don’t know why I always think she’ll bust my chops when I haven’t been doing well, but she doesn’t. She’s very nice, compassionate, and helpful. I think I project my own tendency to be way too hard on myself onto her for some reason.

With the holidays coming up, it was good timing too. There’s nothing like a hundred Christmas cookies staring me in the face to make me want to eat my weight in flour and sugar. Oh, but I’m going to try not to this year, Santa Baby.
_______________

Speaking of Santa, it’s time to find a Santa for Nate to sit on and tell him what he wants, even if it is the cheesy one at the mall that I’ll have to pay and get some pictures of. We’ve never gone that route before, but there don’t seem to be many other Santas around this year (usually there’s a Santa at the coffee shop, there used to be a Santa at the daycare/preschool, but I don’t think they do it at his kindergarten) so I’ll take what I can get.
_______________

And that’s all. Kind of a boring post, but . . . meh? I’m gonna leave it. It’s kind of a boring day, after all.

Maybe tomorrow will be more exciting. whooo. hooo.

This is my Etsy jewelry store right now. I have three of her pendants now. But they’re not even expensive, so I can!

I don’t know what you mean by “mark as read” but I’m sorry you’re having a rough week!

I’m with you on the feeling pooky, but for me it’s the other way around, in that I spend waaaay too much time online procrastinating rather than getting things done, and being productive is really the only thing that will actually make me feel better. Ai.

I remember sitting on Santa’s lap at my church fair as a little kid, and when I was older (read: hip to the truth) my friends and I would try and guess which member of the congregation was really playing “Santa”. Hope that you find a good Santa for Nate!

Abebech, “Mark as read” just means that in my RSS feeder, I’ve indicated that I’ve read a bunch of posts that I haven’t. Because I don’t see myself getting around to reading them. Because. Because it’s really a lousy week. And thanks for your kind words.

SangShil — I would probably do better if I were more productive; the problem is, right now I’m just feeling so unfocused that I don’t know how I could possibly focus on any one thing. ARGH!!

My reader currently says 955. I think “mark as read” may be in the cards here, too.
