Is Someone Impersonating . . . . ME?

Now I find it hard to believe that anyone would go around pretending to be me because . . . why?! Why not someone more well known, someone with more clout, more power? Anyways, I’m either paranoid or someone else has the same online moniker of Mom2One and is commenting on a few of the posts about Evelyn/Stephanie Bennett that have been written in the past few days, all of which seems too coincidental. I saw this Mom2One on Marley’s blog and then again on Claud’s blog, only she forgot to type in One on Claud’s blog so ended up as Mom2 which was a relief. And hey, I can’t remember all the blogs about the Evelyn/Stephanie Bennett story I’ve commented on in the past couple of days so I really can’t check them all.

*big breath*

My point being that if a Mom2One comments on your blog and her comment seems out of character for something that I would say, and she says something to the effect of:

Have you ever adopted a child ? Suppose you had, would you return that child after nearly 1 month, just like that: Here is your child, please take him back, don’t worry about all the time we have lost and all the love we have had…

IT’S NOT ME!!

*breathe*

That’s all.

OH
MY
GOD

I thought it couldn’t get any worse….but it has.

I’m crossing my fingers it’s a coincidence, that she’s another mom of one and just threw that in there as a fast screen name. Either that, or your evil twin…..

MY evil twin??? lmao….

I got your message on my blog and then came over here. I thought it was just a coincidence I hope t is. You’re the rill dill.

I say weird coincidence, since she didn’t beat you to that punch (you’d already applauded the posting), but if she’d read the comments she would have known it would be confusing/been in bad form. Still in bad form, but maybe accidentally?
On the other hand, if someone shows up with my exact name I think we will both disappear . . .

I had somebody impersonating me a few weeks ago. I know who it was. it sucks.

Oh and yeah, I would take a child back after a month, and I know you would too. And our hearts would break, but doing the right thing is better than doing the easy thing.

I thought that comment was weird coming from you! I figured it must be a coincidence Glad to know it wasn’t you at all.

People suck. That is all.

WOW- that is creepy!

Hey!

So, your comments now say Mom2One/Judy right? Hopefully, or this just got to a whole new level of crazy as someone left a comment on my blog with that name.

Pretty sure it was you. It was nice. :)

Jamie

Yeah, I’ve been putting Mom2One/Judy on a lot of my comments — not all, if it’s already programmed in as Mom2One I’m lazy and just leave it in as such — just because, well I kind of like my real name and it’s weird sometimes having grown women or men calling me “Mom.” Yanno? It seems like I had or have some kind of strange fetish and named myself that out of wanting that fetish ummmm . . . yanno . . . . fulfilled? Although I supposed I could have named myself “Mommy” and had you all call me that. Anyways . . . .

Yeah, maybe it IS a coincidence or my evil twin . . . am I on a soap opera? But it just freaked me out a bit because I figured people would think that was me and I didn’t want people to think that freakazoid was me.

Right.

Speaking of freakazoids — my dog woke me up in the middle of the night so she could do her business. I swear we need to get rid of that dog. Yes, for that reason. What? Nate is getting to hate the dog too. The dog follows him around and tries to eat any food that he has.

Maybe the dog is impersonating me.

I want a schnoodle.

Damn dog. Should have never taught her the keyboard.

Identity theft? Spooky.

Oh, no, I don’t think it’s as serious as identity theft.

And now I’m just feeling silly about the whole thing. Silly me.

And she leaves it linking to you? Well, at least as soon as someone comes here they can figure out she’s a fraud.

She doesn’t link it to anything.

Curious, the whole thing. I could just be a big paranoid. Along with a bunch of other diagnoses. ;)

She signed that comment as mom on my blog. As soon as I saw the word I thought it was someone with some problems.

It went to spam immediately.

I mean, Judy, c’mon. We ALL want to be you! You’re awesome like that.

Em (or at least you THINK I’m Em. I might just be some errant wanderer trying to stir up trouble.)

No don’t feel silly or paranoid, because we do have a certain identity associated with our screennames, and it’s weird to think that someone would write something and others might think it was us.

I saw this happen on another blog I read that gets lots of arguments in the comments, people were leaving comments under other people’s names and impersonating them by even typing in the blog URL of the person being impersonated.. it was ugly.

There’s always IP ranges to prove who you are, unless the impersonator is really technical and proxies themself to match your IP. I’ve seen that done too. Blogging gets nasty sometimes.

I’m still voting for the coincidence thing.

Judy, I think the coincidence thing might be a good possibility, too. I just did a Google blog search of Mom2One, and right off the bat found two Mom2Ones besides you. But it’s sure weird anyway!

That is freaky. It would upset me terribly. At least you are the only one with that cool avitar picture!
