Let’s Start At The Very Beginning

A very good place to start.

Ah yes, reform again. Adoption reform, specifically. No, not personal reform. I’m too far gone for that ;) . Heh. Thank God that Margie of Third Mom has the scoop on Washington politics and has written about the Congressional Coalition on Adoption which would, indeed, be a great place to start. Instead of re-inventing this particular wheel, puh-leeze read Margie’s post, Taking Washington, and visit CCA’s site; I will include the link to their site here.

Margie spells it out very well. Let’s listen to her and start there. She’s one smart cookie, and besides it is, as the songwriters said, A Very Good Place To Start.

Hey, Judy, thanks for the shoutout. Oh, I’d love to see a few riled up reformers start a CCA re-education project. But I also believe that a cross-plane coalition of like-minded organizations would be needed, because right now I think no single organization has the critical mass. Organizing that will be no small undertaking, though, which I’m guessing is one reason no one has really gone after the CCA yet.

Probably so. And yes, organizing would be . . . well, holy cow! is all I can say. It makes my brain tired. But yes, it needs to be done, by some energetic person.
